Lacerbus lives in his own world, doing whatever he wants whenever. He will very rarely help anyone at all if there would be no personal gain from it. Seemingly cold and emotionless, he always speaks what is on his mind though it may not what others may want to hear. Prefers to be alone in a quite environment and read whatever he desires at the moment. Hates beating around the bush and prefers conversations to be concise. Has a great interest in dark lore, especially Shadow Games. The only time he is sure to smile is when he duels or does magic tricks, however, as he feels at peace with the decisions that he had made in the past.

History:

Born in Domino City, he enjoyed a life of luxury thanks to the high standing of his parents. It wasn't long a happy life as most would imagine, however, for the parents were simply too busy working instead of spending time with Lacerbus. Spending most of his time in the library, it was there where he became fascinated with the unknown and occult. Magic in particular interested him, as it was an obscure art that had a hint of mysticism that delighted him. In fact, he became so fascinated with the obscure art along with dueling that his parents deemed it acceptable to use their influence so that Lacerbus's passions could be one in the same. They even used Lacerbus's drawings as the templates for these "Magician" cards.

Ecstatic over the release over the "Magician" monsters that had been produced thanks to his parents influence, he made his own deck and dueled passionately. His passion of dueling was unrivaled except by that of his magic tricks. Able to mystify the many prominent guests his parents brought home, it was obvious his parents used him as a way the gain favor, but Lacerbus didn't care as long as he had an audience. They hoped to bring Lacerbus down to reality when they announced their plans for him to take their business to the next level after they retired.

Lacerbus couldn't bring himself to do it when the time came however, as he could not see himself behind the desk for so many hours and with so little contact with the outside world. After his parents disowned him, he changed his surname to "Kurakari," that of which had been his originally before his parents changed it in a vain attempt to present a more authoritative aura. Fortunately, shortly after Lacerbus left with what money he had and his favorite deck in search of a brighter future for him in the dueling field, not knowing much about the outside world.
